Welcome to the Town Hall website

The municipality of Ses Salines owes its name to the ancient sea water salterns, which are already mentioned in the works of Pliny the Young. The salterns are located in the town of La Colonia de Sant Jordi. The salt they produce grants wit, colour and charm to the words, gestures and manner of the people of Ses Salines, making them very welcoming towards visitors.
The municipality is located in the south of Mallorca and has the highest percentage of protected area on the island. Ses Salines is situated in a privileged location. The Cabrera Natural Park is located seven miles off the coast of the municipality. Our coast is surrounded by a large number of islets (Na Guardis, Na Pelada, Na Moltona, Na Corberana, Na Llarga and Na Cabot). They are like watchtowers that shelter our long virgin beaches of fine white sands (Ses Roquetes, Es Carbó, Es Dolç, Es Port, Cala Galiota, Ets Estanys and Es Trenc). Most of the beaches are surrounded by forests hosting a variety of wildlife.
As well as beaches, our municipality has other interesting sites such as the Talaiot dels Antigors and La Talaia Joana, sports facilities (tennis courts, football pitches, swimming pool, cycling track, etc.), the botanical garden, etc. In Ses Salines you will also enjoy a great gastronomy.
All these ingredients make the municipality of Ses Salines a heavenly paradise for everyone. As the Mayor I invite you to visit us.
